Attendance Policy

ATTENDANCE POLICY


School starts promptly every day at 8:30am.  Students will have their official attendance taken daily in all classes on Pupil Path by their teachers 

 

Absence

If your child is absent from school, in-person or remote, you are expected to e-mail the Attendance Coordinator, Mr. Sikora-Kowolik, at LSikora-Kowolik@schools.nyc.gov to let him know and also send him a photo of any medical\legal notes so that he can mark your child's attendance properly.  

 

Leaving Early

Remote

If your child is leaving school early, during remote learning, you must e-mail the attendance coordinator, Mr. Sikora-Kowolik, at LSikora-Kowolik@schools.nyc.gov to let him know. Please email him photos of any doctor's or legal notes (from lawyers or government agencies) so that your child's attendance may be changed accordingly. 

 

In Person

If your child is leaving school early, during in-person learning, a parent must come in and sign their child out. The student cannot leave the building on their own. Please email, Mr. Sikora-Kowolik, at LSikora-Kowolik@schools.nyc.gov, photos of any doctor's or legal notes (from lawyers or government agencies) so that your child's attendance may be changed accordingly. 

 

Additionally, it is your child's responsibility to notify their teachers via email if they leave early or are absent from school.
