The Science Department provides students with an opportunity to explore how the natural and physical worlds work by promoting literacy and scientific investigation. The laboratory experience at FDR is an important part of inquiry and engages students in scientific reasoning and problem-solving.  By taking courses in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Forensics, Research, and Advanced Placement, students can discover many college and career possibilities in these fascinating areas.  All students are strongly encouraged to study four years of Science.
