Factcite, from Lincoln Library, is an award-winning collection of online reference resources designed and written for students in grades 1 -12. Some of the features available most suitable for high school are:

Available to all New York City public schools through Gale and the City University of New York, these databases are rich in primary source documents with material dating back to the 17th century.

Also from Gale are a collection of research databases available through the New York State Library and through FDR High School subscriptions covering a wide range of topics with material collected from scholarly journals and reputable periodicals.

FDR High School has two databases available through subscription from Proquest, an educational publisher with resources for schools and libraries.

Purchased for use by all NYC public schools by the NYC Department of Education, TeachingBooks is a resource that supports learning about literature by providing information about authors and their books. Learn directly about books through their authors' own words via print, video and audio interviews and book readings. Other book related resources are available.

The FDR High School Library subscribes to the electronic version of the World Book Encyclopedia. Access three different levels of the World Book with versions for elementary, middle school and high school students. World Book also offers the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos in Spanish.
