Teachers will be using Google Classroom as one of the main methods to teach students. Students must access their Google Classroom through their new nycstudents.net Gmail account. Check out the "Tech Support" Tab under Remote Learning to find out how to set up your Gmail account. You must first create a DOE Student Account.
For the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Semesters, teachers will have live, synchronous instruction for the first 20 minutes of each period. If teachers change this, they will notify their Supervising AP, who will work with the Principal to ensure parents are informed. If a teacher is absent for the day, or is attending a Professional Learning Opportunity, they will leave a message in the Google Classroom stream for students indicating asynchronous work that should be completed.
