Our Mission
Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School’s mission is to provide an environment that enables all students to grow academically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We recognize the importance of celebrating diversity and culture in our community and identifying and disrupting systems of systemic bias.
Our mission is to foster a community-minded environment where every student has access to a robust science curriculum. We are dedicated to:
- Providing equitable access to a strong and comprehensive science education for all students.
- Encouraging critical thinking and analysis to address and solve real-world issues.
We strive to empower our students to become informed, thoughtful, and active members of their communities through the lens of scientific inquiry.
All FRNYC students are required to complete four years of program course work. Every student is required to complete a minimum of three years (six terms) of science coursework to graduate from high school.
These requirements include:
- 2 Life Science credits
- 2 Physical Science credits
- 2 credits in either Life Science or Physical Science
