Library Policies and Procedures

For Students:

Students are allowed to visit the library before and after their scheduled classes, during their lunch period, and with the written permission of their teacher during other class periods.

We have 18 computers and a black and white printer and photocopier available for students to use.

We also have a collection of over 16,000 books for students to borrow.  Students may borrow up to four books at a time and keep the books for four weeks.  We do renew books for additional time if students need it.

To borrow a book, students must have their FDR High School identification card.

We are now offering e-books and audiobooks through the Citywide Digital Library.  Look at the instructions under FDR HS Resources:  Books, eBooks and Audiobooks for information on how to check them out.

The FDR Library is a place for quiet reading and study.  We ask that students not eat, drink, chew gum, play cards, talk loudly or engage in other disruptive behaviors. Students who cannot behave in a library appropriate manner will be asked to leave.
