NYSESLAT(New York State English as a New Language Assessment Test) 2023

Dear Parents or Guardians,
Each year, English language learners in kindergarten through grade 12 take part in the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT), as required by No Child Left Behind Act, Education Law.
This letter is to inform you that starting the week of April 17, 2023 we will initiate the administration of Speaking Part of the NYSESLAT test and into the week of April 24. The Writing/Reading/Listening Part will take place starting the week of May 15, 2023 and into the week of May 22. All students are prohibited from bringing cell phones and other electronic devices (as defined by school policy) into the NYSESLAT testing location.
Please make sure that your child is in attendance at this exam. This is a very important test because it will determine how your child will be programmed for next year. See below how to prepare for this English Language Test, click here
